Irit Herzenshtein left PKF to set up Longboat Tax Advisers with Mark Davies in April 2008. Longboat Tax focuses on UK and international tax planning where VAT is a driver for high net worth individuals, non-domiciliaries and their businesses. Irit assists private clients from entrepreneurs to individuals working in the finance sector, dealing with all the indirect tax issues relating to their commercial ventures, property holdings, charities and toys (super yachts, aircraft, race horses and art). Irit brings her UK and international VAT experience while Mark adds any direct tax structuring requirements such as trust structuring and treaty requirements.

Longboat VAT focuses on providing VAT services to UK and international corporate clients (SME and listed) and to charities and other not for profit organisations. Our services help to optimise their VAT recoveries and to avoid pitfalls that either are left to the last minute, or more commonly, overlooked. This can involve project management across a number of jurisdictions where knowing the right questions to ask, and whether the answers make sense, is important.
